The team at Bennett & Philp Lawyers is excited to announce that Sandy Zhang has been announced as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards Intellectual Property list for the second year in a row.
This is a tremendous achievement and reflects Sandy’s commitment to the intellectual property field and providing his clients with quality and outcome-oriented advice. Sandy will be competing against nine other finalists in the category across Australia.
“Sandy understands intellectual property and works closely with his clients to ensure they fully understand what can be a fairly complex issue for their business. His collaborative and transparent approach to working on these matters allows him to deliver successful outcomes for his clients,” says Director, Nicole Murdoch.
Sandy has advised clients on a range of intellectual property issues ranging from IP protection to complex commercial negotiations centred around the acquisition and/or licensing of valuable IP.
He has also acted in a range of court proceedings and is one of the first lawyers to have commenced IP litigation using the Concise Statement method recently introduced by the Federal Court, which has the potential to significantly reduce legal costs and expedite the Court process.
Sandy holds degrees in Law and Accountancy from the Queensland University of Technology as well as being a member of the Queensland Law Society, IPSANZ (of which he is a Queensland committee member), Queensland Young Lawyers and Sunnybank Chamber of Commerce.
An event will be held in Sydney in May to announce the winners.
