The Farmer wants a Will

“A farm is more than land and crops; it is a family’s heritage and future.”

A farmer without an estate plan is like ploughing through the bookkeeping; an endless task and usually undertaken with mounting pressure or stress.  A farmer and their family can suffer without investing in their estate planning. Failing to invest can see the farm and family livelihood at risk.  Thinking now about the future can help you put in place mechanisms that will make it just that little more bearable for the loved ones you leave behind.

In recognition of just how important estate planning is for the farmers of our communities, the  Queensland Government is now offering a rebate of up to 50% of costs associated with succession and estate planning advice.

This scheme is available to primary producers and their relatives. The scheme allows for a maximum of $2,500.00 each financial year to be granted towards succession/estate planning advice. This is the perfect opportunity to make hay while the sun shines and get your affairs in order with an estate plan. More information about the rebate is available here.
