Barbara Houlihan
Barbara is a senior lawyer practising in Wills and Estates ( including estate disputes ) and Family Law.
Barbara has been in the practice of law for more than 40 years and has had extensive experience in various areas of legal practice, including commercial litigation; property conveyancing and leases; personal injuries; wills and estate planning; will disputes and family law. She is able to bring her broad background and general knowledge in these areas to benefit her estate and family law clients. She regularly undertakes the role of executor of estates and has performed the role of trustee for sale on occasions.
The feedback from Barbara’s clients is that they are comforted by her calm and confident approach to their issues and they have trust in her realistic and practical advice and her guidance and strategic direction. Barbara focuses on establishing strong and enduring client relationships. She currently acts for second and third generations of families with whom she has had a professional association over the last four decades, providing expert legal advice, guidance and representation in respect of their personal, testamentary and business interests.
Barbara has a strong commitment to improving her knowledge and skills and regularly attends seminars and retreats in the areas of family law, succession and elder law.
Barbara is a member of the Queensland Law Society, Family Law Practitioners Association and the Legal Practice Committee (a statutory committee which deals with complaints of unsatisfactory professional conduct against solicitors.)
